The CPT Credential Hike Program A backpacking program designed for Boy Scouts The 16.5 mile trail is in Oakland County in South Eastern Michigan. Units may opt to canoe a portion of the trail. A winter trek option covers a shorter distance. The recognition items include a patch and serialized, engraved medal detailing the participants history with the trail program. Upon completion of the credential process the individual awards are presented by the CPT committee at a unit court of honor or other awards function, in a very impressive and highly personalized program. This program has a very involved set of rules and requires close coordination with the CPT committee. The Official Credential Hike Calendar is posted in the CVC office above the unit-expresso boxes. A copy of the calendar is kept on this web site, for informational purposes. However the calendar at the office takes precedence. This web copy is updated from the official calendar as "volunteer" time permits. To view the online trek calendar click here: TREK CALENDAR. To begin the process you should first consult the hike leader's checklist. There is also a new 2008 Trek Date Summary to help in your planning process.
